It was a contest held nationwide from Sound-city radio coverage areas such as Lagos (98.5MHz) (encompasses the western states), Enugu (91.1MHz) (encompasses the eastern states), Kano (91.3MHz) (encompasses the northern states), Abuja (96.3MHz) (encompasses the central states) and Port Harcourt (96.5MHz) (encompasses the southern states).

This challenge lasted for three weeks, and was open to Rappers, Singers, and spoken word Artists. A crisp clear freestyle is expected with little or no background noise.

Among various brilliant participants under the eastern region (Delta, Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi etc) of Soundcity 91.1MHz Enugu, Dabelz was among the  top finalist (best six) that emerged to the final.

At this point, casting of votes were made public, for audience to determine the overall winner.
